- Cosponsored Resolution Exonerating President Trump: Congressman Crane joined Rep. Gaetz (R-FL) in introducing legislation that declares that “President Donald J. Trump did not engage in insurrection or rebellion against the United States or give aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.” This resolution – controversial only to the most extreme of the far-left – is a statement of fact that every single Republican can be expected to support. By signing on, the Congressman expresses his belief that if the Left has the courage to interfere in our elections and weaponize the judicial system against our brethren, Republicans must have the courage to express what is self-evident.
- Cosponsored Repeal of the Death Tax: Congressman Crane joined Rep. Feenstra (R-IA) in introducing legislation repealing the Death Tax. As you may know, in the United States, the estate tax (otherwise known as the Death Tax) is a federal tax on the transfer of the estate of a person who dies. Even though the amount of the tax is based on asset value, the simple fact is that the tax must be paid out of income. The Trump-era Tax Cuts and Jobs Act took significant steps to reduce the burden of the death tax. This surprise tax often threatens the continued operations of the family business, compounding the burden of grief with the burden of financial insecurity. Because the estate taxfalls on assets, it reduces incentives to save and invest and, therefore, hampers growth, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Particularly, family farms struggle, as agriculture requires more capital assets, i.e. as land and equipment, to generate the same income that other types of businesses generate with fewer assets. By signing on, the Congressman encourages multigenerational small businesses and family farms to continue to support their families without having to pay a devastating tax on the death of a family member.
- Cosponsored Bill to Prohibit Federal Funding of Non-Citizen Voting: Congressman Crane joined Rep. Duncan (R-SC) and 42 other colleagues in introducing a bill that prohibits federal funds from being made available to state or local governments that allow noncitizens to vote in federal, state, or local elections. Over the years, the Left haswatered down enforcement of our election laws, which has opened our elections up for fraud, ultimately delegitimizing the entire U.S. democratic process. The prevalence of noncitizen voting has risen as municipalities and local governments across the country have allowed noncitizen voting and federal immigration laws have not been enforced. Fifteen municipalities allowed noncitizens to vote in local elections as of February 2023. Most recently, the House approved a pair of resolutions blocking the District of Columbia’s decision to allow noncitizen voting. By signing on, the Congressman seeks to protect the integrity of the nation’s elections.
- Cosponsored Bill to Support Congressional Oversight of the “Fed”: Congressman Crane joined Rep. Massie (R-KY) and 69 other colleagues in introducing a bill that directs the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to complete an audit of the central banking system of the U.S., the Federal Reserve (“Fed”), within 12 months. In addition, the bill allows the GAO to audit the Federal Reserve Board and Federal Reserve banks with respect to (1) international financial transactions; (2) decisions on monetary policy matters; (3) transactions made under the direction of the Federal Open Market Committee; and (4) communications among Federal Reserve officers, board members, and employees regarding any of these matters. For some time now, our nation has witnessed the Fed crafting monetary policy that continues to devalue our currency, slow economic growth, and make life harder for middle- and lower-income Americans. By signing on, the Congressman seeks to promote transparency from the primary institution responsible for setting interest rates, managing our nation’s money supply, and regulating financial markets.
- Cosponsored Bill to Hold Vaccine Manufacturers Accountable: Congressman Crane joined Rep. Gosar (R-AZ) in introducing the End the Vaccine Carveout Act. Existing liability protections for vaccine manufacturers make it impossible for vaccine-injured individuals to seek justice and compensation outside of the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) or Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP), which have historically compensated few people, and only for serious injury or death. Vaccine-injured face an impossible burden of proof in taking civil action against vaccine manufacturers and must accept or reject VICP/CICP compensation before attempting civil action to obtain an amount greater than $1,000. This bill removes certain liability protection language related to vaccine manufacturers, allowing vaccine-injured to bring a civil action against vaccine manufacturers in state or federal court for damages while simultaneously seeking compensation through the VICP. The bill also removes COVID-19 vaccines from the definition of a covered countermeasure under the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Act.
Cosponsored Bill to Ensure Public Vaccine Data Access: Congressman Crane joined Rep. Posey (R-FL) in cosponsoring the Consumer Vaccine Safety and Protection Act to allow consumers to discern for themselves whether they want to receive a vaccine based on publicly disclosed vaccine trial data. Currently, vaccine manufacturers are not required to report on emergency vaccine trial data. The FDA did not review relevant infection data before approving the COVID-19 vaccines, and 18,007 instances of death potentially caused by COVID-19 vaccines were reported by the end of 2022. FDA failed to conduct safety testing on the delivery ingredients in mRNA shots and did not conduct any human trials for boosters – they have failed to respond to FOIA requests regarding COVID-19 vaccine safety. By cosponsoring this legislation, Rep. Crane supports removing liability protections from biological products and drugs if their sponsor fails to disclose non-exempt safety data to the public. These sponsors would be treated as ineligible for future drug approvals, grants, loans, and emergency authorizations. Vaccine-injured would also be allowed to bring suit against HHS when they fail to disclose the required information.
Cosponsored Bill to Support Domestic Energy: Congressman Crane joined Rep. Lamborn (R-CO) in cosponsoring the Energy Parity Act, which prohibits the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) from lowing capacity fees for wind and solar without also reducing royalty rates for oil and natural gas leasing. The bill also includes two provisions from H.R. 1 that would reduce royalty rates for oil and gas back to the original 12.5% and restore minimum acreage bids for oil and gas from $2 to $10. The Biden administration has been picking winners and losers when it comes to energy, and this bill stops them from penalizing oil and gas leasing while subsidizing renewable energy. - Cosponsored Bill to Protect Property Rights: Congressman Crane joined Rep. Langworthy (R-NY) in cosponsoring the Defense of Property Rights Act. This bill addresses the abuse of eminent domain by the federal government which often leaves property owners without protection from overreaching regulations and without just compensation for damages. Under current law, property owners are not eligible for relief unless their land is rendered completely useless. This means they receive no compensation when the government takes any actions that affect the value of their property, violating the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution. This legislation provides the opportunity for compensation when government action significantly impairs the value of ownership of property, defined at $20,000 or 20% of property value, whichever is less.
- Cosponsored Bill to Ban Gender Transition for Minors: Congressman Crane joined Rep. Greene (R-GA) in cosponsoring the Protect Children’s Innocence Act, which prohibits doctors from performing experimental gender reassignment treatment on minors, providing clear definitions of procedures included in the term “gender affirming care.” Doctors would be prohibited from conducting these surgeries on minors and also from prescribing or administering puberty blockers and cross-sex hormone drugs. Children subjected to these procedures would have a civil right of action against medical providers involved.
- Cosponsored Bill to Block Taxpayer Funding of Gender Transition Procedures: Congressman Crane joined Rep. LaMalfa (R-CA) in cosponsoring the End Taxpayer Funding of Gender Experimentation Act. This bill prohibits the use of taxpayer dollars for gender transition procedures, puberty blockers, and cross-sex hormones, in addition to prohibiting the use of federal funds for health benefits that cover gender transition procedures and ensuring these services are not provided in federal facilities or by federal health care providers.
- Cosponsored Bill to Break Up Dr. Fauci’s NIAID: Congressman Crane joined Rep. Roy (R-TX) in cosponsoring the NIH Reform Act. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and abused its power during the COVID-19 pandemic, misinforming the public regarding vaccine efficacy and safety and recommending several mandates on the American people. Dr. Fauci was director of NIAID for over 38 years and was the highest paid official in the federal government, never confirmed by the Senate, and imposed misguided pandemic policies. This bill breaks up the NIAID into three separate institutes: the National Institute of Allergic Diseases, the National Institute of Infectious Diseases, and the National Institute of Immunologic Diseases. The president would be required to appoint directors of these new institutes, which would have to be confirmed by the Senate and limited to no more than two 5-year terms.
- Cosponsored Bill to Promote Abortion Data Reporting: Congressman Crane joined Rep. Norman (R-SC) in cosponsoring the Ensuring Accurate and Complete Abortion Data Reporting Act. The CDC’s data on abortion numbers, complications, injuries, death, and abortion survivors is incomplete and often inaccurate because all reporting on abortion data is complete voluntary. In order to receive Medicaid reimbursements for family planning services and supplies, the bill requires states to report certain abortion data to the CDC. Specifically, the CDC would be required to maintain an abortion surveillance system and collect answers to mandatory questions on variables related to abortion including gestational age, maternal age, maternal race, abortion method type, previous pregnancies and abortions of the mother, and whether the child survived the abortion.
- Cosponsored Bill to Block Biden Abortion Directives: Congressman Crane joined Rep. Clyde (R-GA) in cosponsoring the Protect the UNBORN Act to prohibit the use of federal funds to implement two Biden abortion executive orders. The first, “Protecting Access to Reproductive Healthcare Services,” directs agencies to report on ways to protect and expand access to abortion and creates an abortion task force at HHS. It also defines “reproductive healthcare services” as “medical, surgical, counseling, or referral services relating to the human reproductive system, including services relating to pregnancy or the termination of a pregnancy.” The second, “Securing Access to Reproductive and Other Healthcare Services,” promoted the leftist rhetoric equating abortion with miscarriage care, misinforming the public and confusing patients. It also directed agencies to take even more actions to promote abortion travel and abortion in general as “health care.” By cosponsoring this legislation, Rep. Crane supports nullifying these Biden executive orders.

- H.R. 788 – Stop Settlement Slush Funds Act: The Congressman SUPPORTED this legislation, which prohibits DOJ from entering into any settlement agreement that provides a payment to a person/entity other than the U.S., with an exception for payments that are restitution, directly remedy actual harm, or constitute a payment for services rendered, as well as improves transparency by requiring agencies to file annual reports with CBO that describe how settlement funds are handled, and by requiring inspectors general to report to Congress on violations of the Act.Popularized during the Obama Administration, the use of settlement slush funds diverts funds that otherwise should be directed to injured parties or deposited in the U.S. Treasury to politically favored third-party entities or programs, while avoiding Congressional oversight. In these cases, as part of a settlement, defendants are required to make payments to favored or politically friendly third parties. Because these payments are from a defendant to a third party, and the money does not flow through the Treasury, it can be challenging to track these settlements and the funds involved. By voting in support, the Congressman eliminates the practice of slush fund settlements and improves Congressional oversight.
- H.J.Res. 98 - Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the National Labor Relations Board relating to "Standard for Determining Joint Employer Status": The Congressman SUPPORTED this legislation which nullifies an NLRB rule published in October 2023 that establishes a new standard for determining whether two employers are joint employers of particular employees. By voting in support, the Congressman supported maintaining the Trump-era joint employer standards and continues protecting freedom for small business owners by curbing new burdensome regulations.
- S.J.Res. 38 - A joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Federal Highway Administration relating to "Waiver of Buy America Requirements for Electric Vehicle Chargers": The Congressman SUPPORTED this legislation which nullifies an FHWA rule that established a temporary public interest waiver to waive Buy America requirements for steel, iron, manufactured products, and construction materials in EV chargers. As you know, the Biden administration has pushed clean energy and EVs on the American people and this FHA rule exposed their lack of concern for our reliance on foreign countries, often adversaries, for products needed to make EVs. By voting in support, the Congressman pushes back against Biden’s radical climate agenda.
