SCOTUS must dismiss Mexico v Smith & Wesson.

The days of the country club Republican Party are over.

The American people expect us to keep our foot on the gas and accelerate President Trump's agenda. That includes confirming his entire cabinet.

Blue state governors & mayors don’t have to collaborate with upcoming deportations, but they CANNOT obstruct.

Katie Hobbs is ignoring both the harms of our open border & Arizonans' demands for security. She clearly doesn’t care.

My message to GOP Senators:

The game has changed, the landscape has changed, and the American people gave President Trump a massive mandate.

If you try to block President Trump’s agenda, just know we have folks like Elon Musk willing to play in primaries.

Game on.

Crane Message - GOP Senators

Biden, Harris, and Mayorkas intentionally orchestrated an invasion of our homeland by dismantling border security.

Now that Republicans also control the White House and Senate, we must pass H.R.2, defund sanctuary cities, and unite behind President Trump’s agenda.

Crane & Kirk on Legislative Priorities

TriggerPoints

COSPONSORED & COSIGNED:

  • Cosigned Letter to WHO Opposing New Woke Gender Group: Congressman Crane joined Reps. McCormick (R-GA), LaMalfa (R-CA), and Sen. Marshall (R-KS) in sending a letter to the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) to oppose the recently created “Guideline Development Group on the Health of Trans and Gender Diverse People.” They are aiming to promote radical gender identity ideology and push gender transition procedures on countries, partially funded by the U.S. taxpayers. By signing on, the Congressman supports WHO disbanding this gender group completely and reevaluating their position on gender identity and transition.

  • Cosponsored the Death Tax Repeal Act: Congressman Crane joined Rep. Feenstra (R-IA) in introducing the Death Tax Repeal Act, which repeals the estate and generation-skipping transfer taxes. As you may know, the estate tax, more commonly known as the death tax, imposes a costly tax on the transfer of property, land, and other assets from a deceased family member to heirs of family farms and small businesses. By signing on, the Congressman spares double taxation which has a stifling effect on economic growth for multigenerational businesses.

  • Cosponsored the TCJA Permanency Act: Congressman Crane joined Rep. Buchanan (R-FL) in introducing the TCJA Permanency Act, which makes the Trump Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) permanent. As you may know, TCJA was an unmitigated success through cuts that benefited families, workers, and the overall economy by allowing Americans at every income level to keep more of what they earn. Many of these sound tax provisions expire at the end of 2025. By signing on, the Congressman supports a fair, competitive U.S. tax code and economic growth for all.

  • Cosponsored Repeal of Burdensome Small Business Reporting: Congressman Crane joined Rep. Davidson (R-OH) and 74 other Republicans, including Reps. Biggs and Lesko, in cosponsoring the Repealing Big Brother Overreach Act. This legislation repeals the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA), which was passed as part of the 2021 NDAA and requires businesses of a certain size to disclose information about the true owners of their company, or “beneficial ownership information” (BOI) to FinCEN. While originally intended to address financial crimes, the broad authority granted to FinCEN in the CTA has allowed them to implement burdensome rules about BOI disclosures that are nearly impossible to comply with, and those rules have failed to rein in bad actors. By cosponsoring, the Congressman supports the end of FinCEN’s authority to force vague and confusing ownership disclosures on small businesses.

SUPPORTED:

  • H.R. 1449 – Committing Leases for Energy Access Now (CLEAN) Act: The Congressman SUPPORTED this legislation, which requires the Department of Interior (DOI) to increase the frequency of geothermal lease sales and establishes deadlines for the agencies to ensure they are considering drilling permits expeditiously. It also boosts transparency with drilling companies by requiring DOI to issue a final decision on permits within 30 days of their completion notification and justification for any denials. As you may know, DOI only holds lease sales at least once every two years, and the environmental reviews process is often stalled. Some states have not held a competitive geothermal lease sale since 2016. By voting in favor of this legislation, the Congressman votes to unleash American energy.

  • H.R. 9495 – Stop Terror-Financing and Tax Penalties on American Hostages Act: The Congressman SUPPORTED this legislation, which provides tax relief for Americans who are unlawfully detained or held hostage by foreign adversaries, as well as more strenuous oversight of tax-exempt status of organizations that provide aid to terrorist groups or their conduits. As you may know, Hamas terrorists in Gaza are holding several Americans in captivity, which has been ongoing for more than a year. In fact, three of the seven Americans held hostage are believed to be dead. By voting in favor of this legislation, the Congressman supports helping our hostages and reining in the abuses of non-profit organizations who are sympathetic to terrorists.

Arizona forest land could be transferred for using as local cemetery under proposed legislation

12 News

Key Excerpts:

  • APACHE COUNTY, Ariz. — A bill working its way through Congress could potentially offer residents in a rural area of eastern Arizona a space to bury their loved ones.

  • H.R. 3047 proposes conveying certain lands within the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest to be used for other purposes.

  • U.S. Rep. Eli Crane, R-District 2, introduced the legislation and said the bill passed through the House Committee on Natural Resources this week.

  • According to Crane's office, the small communities of Alpine and Pinedale have struggled for years to find cemetery space in their area. The legislation proposes conveying a parcel of forest land adjacent to the Alpine Community Cemetery to the control of Apache and Navajo counties.

  • "These communities have storied histories, and they deserve to lay their loved ones to rest in the place that means so much to them,” Rep. Eli Crane said in a statement. “This piece of legislation is one of the first bills I introduced in Congress and is a testament to the strength of the Latter-Day Saints Community in Northern Arizona."

  • Crane, who was recently elected to another term in the large district encompassing most of northern Arizona, said he intends to continue pushing H.R. 3047 through the legislative process.

Gaetz commemorates ‘zenith’ of US-El Salvador relations

Washington Examiner

Key Excerpts:

  • Former Rep. Matt Gaetz led the El Salvador Caucus Celebration of Friendship, commemorating the “zenith” of the friendship between the United States and El Salvador.

  • Formal relations between the United States and El Salvador began on Aug. 4, 1824, when President James Monroe recognized the independence of the Federation of Central American States, which encompassed modern-day El Salvador.

  • While the relationship has fluctuated over the past 200 years, attendees approved Gaetz’s statement with applause that the celebration at the National Archives commemorated the “zenith” of relations between the two countries.

  • “I want to thank the tremendous team here at the National Archives. It is no accident that we chose this location for a celebration of friendship. This is the place where the United States keeps our most precious and most important records. It seemed like an appropriate place to bring our precious and important friends,” he said.

  • “I truly believe that tonight marks the zenith of the U.S.-El Salvador relationship, as it is tied to the United States Congress, and indeed, it’s something we should all be proud of,” Gaetz said.

  • The bipartisan El Salvador Caucus was formed in July, a development first reported by the Washington Examiner.

  • After an opening prayer from Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ), the program featured speeches from Gaetz, Caucus co-chairman Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX), newly appointed Caucus co-chairwoman Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), Salvadoran Ambassador Carmen Milena Mayorga, Salvadoran Vice President Félix Augusto Antonio Ulloa Garay, and Salvadoran Legislative President Ernesto Alfredo Castro Aldana.

  • The speeches followed a broad theme, hailing the historic turnaround of El Salvador from the most dangerous country in the world to one of the safest, thanking Gaetz for his efforts in forming and supporting the caucus, and praising Nayib Bukele’s leadership.

  • In his speech, Gaetz called attention to the caucus’s first main accomplishment: the lowering of the country’s travel advisory to Level 2. Gaetz thanked the Biden-Harris administration for taking action on the matter after the caucus called attention to it.

  • The lengthiest speech was from Castro, speaking through a translator. Putting together a grand narrative, he bemoaned the depths the country had descended into during its brutal civil war, one of the deadliest in Central American history, and the violence wrought by gangs throughout the 2000s and 2010s. Under the leadership of Bukele, he said, the country had “recovered hope and dignity.”

  • “Friends and colleagues, tonight we concur that we have many things in common and that we agree on the most important things — the value of life, security, and the wellness of the people of both our countries,” he said, adding that the night was commemorating the “mutual friendship and mutual respect” between the U.S. and El Salvador.

CASEWORK WINS:

Need assistance with a federal agency? Here's what some constituents from AZ-02 had to say about the recent assistance they received from our office:

Passport:

Dear Congressman Eli Crane,
Many thanks for your help!
After sending a request to you about my daughter ------'s passport processing delay, her passport was issued a week later.
I appreciate very much for your quick help to one of your constituents.

Best regards,

AZ-02 Resident

Lori,
I don't know what you did but wow! I just got my passport back in only 12 days even though they said 3 to 5 weeks for a renewal. So whatever you did I cannot thank you enough. After dealing with the state department for four years you got an answer for me in a couple of weeks for both of the things I needed.

Bless you and I hope others can benefit from what you can do.

AZ-02 Resident

Social Security:

Just wanna take the opportunity to thank you again for helping me with my disability. I believe the knowledge of Disability knowing that the congressman was looking out made a huge difference and speed things along. I enjoyed participating in the Phone live meeting last night [...]

Thank you again God bless

I am writing to let you know that SSA is in the process of processing a refund of the overpaid premiums. The agent informed me that once they determine how much, if any refund is due for part B, they will send a refund directly to my account.

Thank you, so much, for your support. After nearly two years, I honestly believed this issue would never be resolved. It’s difficult to find words to express my appreciation.

Sincerely,

DS

I just wanted to thank you again for coming to our rescue. You sure knew what you were doing and I am extremely grateful!

Visas:

I wanted to thank you so much for all your help on ------'s visa. I found out the other day that her visa was approved. If weren't for the help of your office I’m sure I would be still waiting. Again, thank you.

-Ed P.

Veterans Affairs:

Just a note of appreciation to you for your assistance with the VA Aid and Assistance Benefit for my dad. He has been approved for the benefit and has received the first monthly disbursement. Know that you made a huge difference in his life and he (and I) can now rest easier that he has a safe environment, food stability, a roof over his head and is receiving quality care. Our deepest thanks,

-Valerie B.

I received the packet of 75 pages of my Dad's USN records. Wow!!! When you say you can help, you mean it. My sister is beside herself with glee and shock that I received them so fast. I told her Rep. Cranes' crew is the best.

Sincerely,

-Thomas W.

Mr. Timm,

I recently reached out to your office for help with a financial matter, regarding a medical bill.

Thanks to you and your office, the matter has been successfully resolved in my favor.

No public servant have ever helped the way that you have.

I have no words to express my extreme gratitude!

Gratefully,

-Arnold A.

I can't express how grateful I am for your assistance in this. The timing was perfect, you saved a vet from being homeless. Thank you.

Dear Congressman Crane,

I sincerely thank you and your office for the actions taken in response to my June request for assistance with the ATF; I received approval of the Form 4 application today. Without your assistance I would have undoubtedly been waiting still.
